SIr,

We are running with oracle parallel server.Now while making instance1 down(shutdown immediate) it was taking a long time and we ve killed the svrmgrl process by using o/s command.

Kill -9 <pid>

Then we did a shutdown abort.Again made the same instance1 up and tried to do a shutdown immediate command.But it was giving a error
"end of file on communication channel".

Although the database is comming up the we r unable to make it down.

The following messages appeared in the trace file:

Please suggest the cause of the error and advise us accordinglly.

Matter is most urgent.
