Dear All,

I have run the package named DBMS_STATS.DELETE_DATABASE_STATS; ON my production Database. Then I m trying to generate new Statistics with the Package DBMS_STATS.GATHER_DATABASE_STATS; but it will take a lots of time in hrs and not completed yet. and my database performanace is very down .. Can any body help me to resolve this problem??

ah...it could be due to the non-proper usage of the indexes ...check 262492.995 doc in metalink...
