Hi Experts,

I could not Install Oracle8i release 2 (8.1.6) Personel Edition on P4 Windows 2000 Server.

When I click Setup nothing is coming just cursor is coming is Hurgulous mode and back to normal.

Please advice me is there anything special configuration to be done while installing Oracle on Server and sharing the Database with Clients.

Thanks for you advice, help.

1. Copy the entire CD to a temp directory in Harddisk
2. look for the filename symcjit.dll.
3. Rename each copy of the symcjit.dll to symcjit.old.
4. Run the setup.exe from the Harddisk
