hi ... Friend

I have a Question about database recovery ......
suppose cold backup has been taken on sunday ...
and monday i add a new tablespace
[[ did not take any backup of controlfile and datafile ]]

and tuesday i
drop this tablespace ...accedently ..

can i recover this tablespace ..

Hi,
It depends on the Database log mode..If its in Archivelog mode there is a possibility .

yes Friend ..
my db is in archivelog..

at sunday --- -- > ... cold backup
and after that i add a tablespace and
create a table with in it ...
after that drop the tablespace..

mean i did not take any backup of datafile and controlfile ... and now i have all the archivelogs..
and current controlfile .. with this tablespace entry ..

how i can recover my db

Hi,
as u have all the archivelogs with u, I think u can issue a command something like
Alter database create datafile as 'Original datafile path'.
I am not sure of the syntax, Let us c if some one else can come out the syntax..
