DBMS_JOBs not running [message #56415] Thu, 27 March 2003 13:10

Hello,

I have a database job running in Oracle 8.1.7.3 on a HP-UX 11.0 32-bit server that is acting strangely.
The job is scheduled to run every 2 minutes and, according to the LAST_DATE and NEXT_DATE values of sys.dbms_jobs, it is doing just that. However, the stored procedure is not *really* getting executed; nothing is ever noted in the log file that the stored procedure produces. This job does not indicate that it has failed nor does it indicate that it is broken.
If I execute the stored procedure directly in SQL*Plus, it executes successfully.

Several other servers with the exact same configuration (at least as far as I can tell) are running fine.

I'm leaning toward a problem with the SGA or possibly some configuration problem in the HP-UX kernel.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and regards,
