Good idea, but value (path to udump directory) in v$parameter is correct.
With "alter database backup controlfile to '/u01/app/oracle/myfile.txt'"
I've got a binary copy of the controlfile and not the "text-version" that I want to create in the udump directory. If I make "alter database backup to trace" the system writes the controlfile to bdump directory.
Why is the bdump directory the trace directory it should be the udump ?
