I have Oracle9i installed in sunfire machine. I observe a slow performance in executing any query. I check the following:
- A gateway definition of my server and it was ok.
- I use ftp command to measure the connection from my pc to the sun server and it was 85 Mbps.
Is there any parameter in the Listener, to tune the performance or in the Oracle9i itselfe? plz help.

there might be tons of unknown bottlenecks.
to start with (check inside oracle env)
check the execution plan.
it will give an idea, whether the indexes are used or what?>
if its OK with this, then u may look into network considerations.
