Hello!

A good day to you all. One particular oracle installation i have in the office seems to be in a perpetual state of recovery; during every bootup, i always get messages about redo logs being reapplied. This happens over and over, although i've made sure that the box has been shut down properly.

Any ideas?

"box has been shut down properly" but what about database shutdown?? was it normal ???check that may be you db is getting shutdown abort or something cos of box going down so this recovery is happening !!!!
