In my project, fmb's were written using oracle 9i and now we planned to move them to oracle 10g.
so please help me with the consequences of using oracle 10g to modify the oracle 9i fmb's.

Also will there be any diff in terms of visual if i use oracle 10g to open oracle 9i fmb's.

Wrong. For example, you can't use all Forms 6i triggers in higher Forms versions (such as WHEN-MOUSE-... ones).

I believe that all you have to do is to install the software, copy and recompile everything you have (libraries, menus, forms). Differences from 9i to 10g most probably won't make your application fail.

I'm not aware of any major differences between 9i and 10g but I suggest you test it thoroughly before applying to production.
